Closest thing I know to a REAL dim sum for vegetarians (and possibly vegans) would be at Sally Ling's in Newton Center (on the Riverside D green line - then a few blocks walk).
Edward Liu owns and operates Sally Ling's (named for his ex-wife), and Liu's daughter is vegetarian. They have a 90+ item vegan menu (and a few vegetarian items), many of which appear on their weekend buffet. It was once only $9.95 per person for the buffet (which INCLUDES the vegetarian/vegan items, but isn't exclusively vegetarian).
