Jessica:

Here are my favorite vegan cheeses:

1) Soymage Vegan Grated Parmesan Alternative (available at Bread &
Circus)
2) Nutritional Yeast (available at Bread & Circus)

These first two options can be used as a substitute for parmesan cheese.
They are delicious sprinkled on popcorn or salad, and either one can be
added to recipes such as risotto.

3) Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese (available at Trader Joe's)
http://www.tofutti.com

4) Joanne Stepaniak's "The Uncheese Cookbook," has a good recipe for a
vegan Cheese Whiz (she calls it Gee Whiz). Her book is available at
Amazon.com.

5) If you're in Philadelphia, the best vegan cheese I've ever tasted is
made fresh daily at Gianna's Grill at 507 South 6th Street,
Philadelphia, PA 19147; Phone: 215-829-GG4U. I've asked, but the
proprietors won't disclose the recipe. Here's what the website
VegPhilly.com has to say about Gianna's:

Gianna's (Formerly known as Mom's Pizza) serves meat as well as
vegan/vegetarian food. Gianna's is the only place that offers good,
quality, vegan-cheese pizza. Or try a "GG Special" the vegan version of
a hometown favorite (the Philly Cheesesteak!). To top it off, Gianna's
fully-vegan desserts are to die for. Easily the most popular restaurant
for vegan newcomers to the City of Brotherly Love.

I hope you find something that you like.
