Here are four items of possible interest.

1) Outdoor Vegan Food Stand at Boston City Hall Plaza
I've been hearing great reports about the food at our friend Fausto's
outdoor stand. It's worth a trip into town for a visit, Mon - Fri ! (Gov't
Center stop on T)
Organic Kitchen Boston City Hall Plaza Government Center, Cambridge Street
side Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. All vegan, all organic ingredients.
Offers tofu, seitan, tempeh, and bean wraps, with brown rice, nori seaweed
and veggies, plus tofu salads, pasta salads, brown rice pilaf, and natural
sodas.
2) and... I understand that Organic Kitchen will be serving food this
Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Alliance for Animals festive "Pets on Parade" fund
raising dog walk in Arlington, MA, with lots of post-walk fun and
activities. All the more reason to attend this worthy event!

3) and... The long awaited Spay Neuter stamps were released 9/21, and they
are beautiful -- intended to bring attention to the to the tragic
overpopulation of companion animals, which results in over 6 million dogs
and cats being killed each year because there are not enough homes. See them

4) Farm Sanctuary's Boston Walk for Farm Animals
Saturday, September 28, 2002 Boston Common, Brewer's Fountain (by Park
Street Station) Registration starts at 10:30, Walk at 11 a.m.
There is a $10 registration fee for the Walk which entitles each registrant
to a Walk for Farm Animals t-shirt. People may register for the Walk in the
final two weeks, but early registration is required to ensure a t-shirt for
each registrant. Each walker collects pledges =E2*=93 usually a set donation
rather than a certain dollar amount per mile =E2*=93 and brings all of his/h=
er
collected pledges to the Walk. There are prizes for walkers who raise over
$100. To register, email your name, address, phone, email to
