Laura,
Try the unsalted kind. I think they use the gelatin to help keep all their
spices attached to the nut. The store brands, no salt or low salt brands
are plainer, so they don't need to go to such lengths to get the nut just
the way they want it. I know Market Basket carries some that are just nuts and
salt. You can also buy them in bulk at Harvest Food Coop in Central Square.
