Calvin, you were 100% correct when you stated:

I was reading the label on some fat free spaghetti sauce (Aunt Millie's I
think) and noticed that it had romano cheese in it, even though it claimed
to have no fat and no cholesterol. There was some fine print at the bottom
of the label that stated, in effect, that the cheese adds a 'dietarily
insignificant' amount of fat and cholesterol. Oh well, so much for an easy
way to find veggie products. The no fat and no cholesterol things are,
in general, your best bet if you're looking for something dead free; you still
have to read the label though. My favorite surprise was that there are sardines
in worstershire sauce. Oh well, that's life as a veg.
