Teaching can be fun -- how about a cooking class with a different ethnic
background featured each week? Other approaches are also possible.

Subject: Teach for the High School Studies Program!

The MIT Educational Studies Program will bring several hundred
7th-12th grade students to the MIT (Cambridge, MA) campus to enjoy the
High School Studies Program. HSSP courses meet for one and a half or
two hours on ten consecutive Saturdays (March 5 to May 7), giving you the
opportunity to cover your subject in-depth but in short classes. You
create your HSSP course in any subject which interests you -- both
content and format are of your own choosing. HSSP is open to 7th
through 12th grade students, so you have a wide range in choosing the
difficulty level of your course. Past courses have included such
diverse topics as physics, children's literature, architecture,
acting, political history, genetics, bicycle repair, topology,
creative writing, and nearly everything in between. The HSSP staff
can also assist you in designing and planning your course if you wish.

HSSP is now recruiting teachers. If you have an idea for a course
you'd like to present, please call 617-253-4882 (x3-4882 at MIT),
e-mail to edsp@mit.edu, or drop by during any Wednesday night meeting
at 7pm in MIT room W20-467. All are welcome.

The MIT Educational Studies Program is an MIT student activity. It has
brought enrichment classes to over 30,000 local high-school students
since 1957.
