Tonight Dateline (NBC, 9PM EST) will do a special on pets used in vivisection
laboratories - I'm not sure if they're covering it from a "pets stolen for use
in labs" or "lost pets taken from pounds (or "free puppy" newspaper ads) for
use in labs" perspective (or both). The latter, I believe, is legal in most
states, so that it is not uncommon for animals that were raised trusting humans
to end up as experimental "models."
