As you may have noticed if you read last week's announcement, this has
been fixed on cluster machines for a few weeks.
You can change the setting on a private machine by running the appropriate
texconfig-sys command, or just installing 'debathena-tex-config', which
packages this change in a way that's cleanly uninstallable.
