I was trying to figure out why urania is bogged down; I'm not clear
on whether this is the culprit, but xvm-140 seems to be logging four
messages for every single failed ssh attempt, which seems excessive:
Apr 9 06:45:00 XVM-140.MIT.EDU sshd[16390]: Invalid user r from 85.114.129.180
Apr 9 06:45:00 XVM-140.MIT.EDU sshd[16390]: input_userauth_request: invalid user r
Apr 9 06:45:00 XVM-140.MIT.EDU sshd[16390]: Failed password for invalid user r from 85.114.129.180 port 45363 ssh2
Apr 9 06:45:00 XVM-140.MIT.EDU sshd[16390]: Received disconnect from 85.114.129.180: 11: Bye Bye
(On the other hand, some Athena 9.4 machines seem to be logging two long
messages for each attempt, which also seems excessive.)
