This is different from Eric's crash on m66-080-2. I walked in and found
m66-080-4 left in the following state:
X was dead, although you could still change terminals.
tty/1 displayed a trace and one particularly interesting line:
"... BUG: ... kernel ... [page|paging] request ..."
Any particular log file that it might have been backed up to?
tty/1 appeared to reset after visiting tty/n (for some n . 1 < n < 7), so I
couldn't simply transcribe the error.
I found the same bug last week on w20's new DebAthena when I changed to
tty/1 immediately after logging out (before gdm had come back up with its
prompt). jdreed or broder suggested on Wed (OLC meeting in N42) it might
be a known bug.
Is it?
I'll try to grab more of the output next time I see it.
