gv (Gaussview) problem on Athena 10 cluster machine

Another one- in running gv on a 745 cluster machine with:
setup gaussian
gv &
in the xterm that opens, windows don't refresh properly when the application's
windows open. The launch terminal prints:

Software fallback:ctx->RenderMode != GL_RENDER

Again, I don't see this on a 755 workstation install at Hardy. The application
uses OpenGL- radeon graphics driver issue perhaps?
