In attempting to test out the new quota programs, I tried creating a
quota controlled partition and discovered that quotas cannot be enabled
without /etc/qotab existing. This is not a documented change in the
release notes as anyone who has a quota controlled partition will be
unable to enable them until a suitable /etc/qotab exits. Admittedly the
quotaon man page explains this.
What this essentially means is that in our fileserves cannot be updated
unless an /etc/qotab exists on the server configured with every quota
controlled partition.
