I had some issues getting email set up the first time I opened Evolution
under Athena 10.

The new Evolution insisted on setting up my MIT mail account with
po11.mit.edu. My previous configuration used hesiod. I tried changing
the config to hesiod and that only messed things up.

I'm not exactly sure what fixed it, but I started off seeing only mail
from my last login under 9.4, and didn't seem to receive new mail that I
could see through webmail. Then I was only seeing the newer mail. Now
I seem to have everything again.

I had to update all of my mail filters. It couldn't find any of my mail
folders, as they had moved from "INBOX/folder" to "MIT
Mail/INBOX/folder".

Finally, unlocking the screen (my Kerberos tickets expired while I was
away), renewed my Kerberos 5 tickets, but not Kerberos 4, as Athena 9.4
used to do. Thus Evolution could not read my mail. The first time it
simply crashed silently. Second time it gave an error about not being
able to open INBOX. It took a few minutes to figure that out.

This last Evolution question isn't related to the Athena upgrade. Is
the LDAP MIT Directory supposed to work? It used to, and a year or so
ago I lost access to it. It still works with other mail clients.

Thanks for any insights,
Christine
