The first time I ran firefox 1.5.0.4 using a profile with a
non-default home page preference set, I noticed that the default
web.mit.edu page was displayed at start-up. (I had previously tested
the new firefox extension with this profile against 1.5.0.3). When
I ran 1.5.0.4 subsequently, the expected non-default home page was
displayed.

I believe this is due to our losing a local firefox modification,
which disabled the display of the "home page override" URL the first
time a new version of the browser is run with that profile. From my
reading of the firefox source, it looks like a special preference
setting can now be used to prevent this behavior. Assuming we
don't want to make use of the home page override, I will work on
a patch to prevent the override.

Bob
