Yup.  I've just spent a while abusing test cluster machines, and it
appears that there are some cases where mount will complain about a dirty
filesystem and mount it anyway.  There are also some cases where mount
will *not* complain about a dirty filesystem and *still* mount it.

I'll be submitting a rerevised patch for this shortly.
