I know I'm not supplying enough info to reproduce this.
But I wanted to mention that it happened.
Moments ago, I attempted to save a file from inside of Evolution.
I needed to change the save directory, so asked to browse more files. I
clicked on "Home" and the hourglass flipped up and down and up and down.
I could not start another terminal window.
I could not ssh in.
fingerd would not respond.
But baloon help in the panel worked.
Hitting the power switch was perceived as a shutdown command.
/var/log/messages showed no reports of any badness.
I'm guessing AFS hung the net, but I'm REALLY reaching here.
Let's keep our eyes open for more info.
