I apparently encountered the "missing file" problem on anhedonia
(Linux 9.4.11). During an ssh login, I got the error:
-bash: /mit/rbasch/.bashrc: No such file or directory
The file exists, but is inaccessible from this machine:
-bash-3.00$ ls -l .bashrc*
ls: .bashrc: No such file or directory
-rw-rw-rw- 1 rbasch mit 2420 Jun 2 10:49 .bashrc.mine
Now the machine is no longer accepting net connections, so I am unable
to do further checking.
