Athena releases have often broken smallish numbers of locker binaries.
Backwards compatibility is not an absolute guarantee.
In this case, I wouldn't have upgraded gettext if I had known about the
soname bump, but since that bridge has been burned, it seems like
rebuilding the affecting locker binaries is better than continuing to
maintain an older version of gettext in the source tree.
