Confirmed...
The following command caused a rapid decrease in the clock speed:
find /afs/rel-eng/project/release/current/source -print >& /dev/null &
It seems that something has changed about the priorities... <sigh>
At least the server-side seems to be stable; the compliance on odie has
been reasonable, and minos has never drifted. So, the bug seems to only
exist with the clients.
