Sorry, I forgot to answer the other things mentioned here.
Unfortunately, I don't have a reproduceable case, and I'm not aware of
multiple processes trying to create and unlink the same file in AFS.

I can try this if the kernel oopses start resuming. I've moved my screen
session back to my machine, so if it's load problems, it might help
trigger the problem. (Fewer users are still using my machine, though.)
