Today, on scyther.mit.edu (updated to Linux-Athena 9.4.9 last night):

in my console window:

scyther kernel: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at
virtual address 0000001a
scyther kernel: printing eip:
scyther kernel: *pde=00000000
scyther kernel: Oops: 00000 [#1]

I generally run a copy of top and xload, and both showed the load average
gradually increasing immediately after this happened. Other than being
able to move the mouse, though, the system became unresponsive, and
nothing happened after I entered the password upon ssh'ing in as root
(though a ROOT LOGIN message did pop up on the console). Unfortunately,
another window (that I could not move out of the way) covered the relevant
portion of the top window, so I could not see what (if top showed
anything) was causing the problem.
