I just updated scyther.mit.edu to Athena 9.4.9, and the advansys kernel
module previously available in the kernel-unsupported package is no
longer present..
Discussion on -c help suggests that this is probably just gone, though I
previously relied on it to use a scanner attached to this SCSI card.
