Fine. I'll be nit-picking...
In the documentation you sent, it said "commonly"... the standard
(default) place is /usr/tmp/attachtab. A non-standard (but common)
place is /etc/attachtab.
Reasons this is not changing:
1) Cruft has to be cleared from the default configuration.
The "standard" configuration is to have it in /usr/tmp/attachtab.
2) It gets cleaned up at reboot anyway... it will get re-created by
attach, if necessary.
#1 is the one I am concerned about... #2 makes the issue somewhat moot.
A reboot is suggested after every update anyway.
jik: Not considered a bug by WS-priv. project.
*CLOSED* (at least until a good reason is given that shoots the
above two down).
The update cannot cater to every single person; it can only attempt to
cater to the majority, and given the passive side-effects of this one,
the cleaning of cruft is more important.
