default gray color of xterm and xdsc

On Linux 9.4 machines (haven't tested on Sun machines), the default xterm 
color is gray instead of white.  This is easily changeable in .Xresources, 
of course.  However, xdsc also uses this same gray color in some of its 
bars by default in 9.4, instead of the white in 9.3.
