I've had two kernel panics today because of filesystem errors
(the first I didn't get to see, the second was a duplicated
inode on /site). I lost both crash dumps because of filesystem
errors. (The first I tried to savecore before fsck and got
another panic; the second, I didn't boot single-user and fsck
terminating with abnormal errors caused a halt.)
I am going to try to duplicate the problem before logging out
today. If I get a dump, it will be soup:/u1/crash/vm*.4.
The second panic occured doing a delete -F * in a directory on
/tmp. It was that directory that was corrupt. The first one
occured while working on a floppy mounted as a unix filesystem
and simultaneously doing a build over afs.
I am running a vice server.
