When text longer than one line appears in the console window, the
console window doesn't necessarily scroll far enough to display the
portion of text wrapped around to the next line.
For example, when xdiscuss printed:
15:07 Warning: Principal unknown (kerberos) while connecting to
discuss@UCSCC.UCSC.EDU
(with the line break as above) the window only showed "...connecting
to". Also, if the timestamps are to be useful, more line breaks
should be generated. For some reason an extra space got printed
(perhaps from xdiscuss, which I'll have to look into), and later I ran
show_console, and got:
15:37 xdsc: No such file or directory
15:37 Console revived by show_console command: Thu May 10 15:56:43 EDT 1990
Note the discrepancy in times on the last line.
