It blew out trying to munge with /etc/ttys: '#' not found
It was apparently waiting for console input, so I hit ctrl-d to let it
go on its way, and then recovered the proper /etc/ttys file from
/etc/ttys.old.
Basically, the /etc/ttys update should be looked into. It will probably
be an obvious problem.
