If you took an incremental update or updated to 6.4R after Dec. 30,
4:00pm, or have not taken the 6.4R update (which you should since you
are a tester) you can ignore this message.
If you are running 6.4R and did update after 4:00pm Sat. Dec. 30, do the
following:
1) ctrl-P login as "root"
2) Type:
/etc/athena/activate
shutdown now (ignore the WARNING message)
reset
/srvd/update_inc
/etc/reboot -q
This will replace the same software that was described in the previous
incremental announcement. There were a couple of problems with
/etc/athena/netconfig that have now been fixed (there are yet other
known problems, but these are relatively minor and existed before the
days of netconfig).
If you wish to do the update by hand, the only file that has changed
since the last incremental announcement is /etc/athena/netconfig.
If there are any problems, see Ezra Peisach. I, unfortunately, will not
be available to answer questions as I am still working on my thesis.
