I don't think the messages to stderr are terribly meaningful; some of
them are complaining about mildly broken bonobo-ui data files in
Evolution (the effect is that some menu entries don't have associated
icons), and others are complaining that we don't have the gnome-spell
package installed.
I don't use the calendar functionality of evolution, but I don't have
any trouble getting it to display the calendar when I try it. A little
poking around in Ximian's bug database suggests that this may be an
issue with the panel sizes; try to find the left and top borders of the
tasklist panel and drag them around to make the other panels visible.

(Also, in the future, please send bug reports about the current field
release to bugs@mit.edu, and use the sendbug command if that's not too
much bother. Or at least mention what platform you're seeing the bug
