I seem to be unable to use my cd rom drive.
xmcd, for instance, fails to detect a disk, and I can't get eject to
open the drive. I haven't done much testing with data cd's, but it
the one thing I tried didn't fare any better.
Note that this also failed on spy-hunter, so my first guess of
"hardware problem" seems less likely.
