I logged in to my recently updated to 9.2 sunblade 100
(prowler.mit.edu) this evening for the second time since
it updated.

When I did so the initial gnome terminal took a minute or
two to actually display. My windowmanager had started
(fvwm2, I also don't run panel) and zephyrs were appearing
on my screen, but no gnome terminal appeared. I also attempted
to start an xterm from my windowmanagers key sequences which
also seemed to do nothing.

It's worth noting that the console window did display a
[1] along with the message "creating initial sterm window"
(or something similar) during the login sequence.

Eventually both the gnome terminal and my xterm appeared.

The only change that I'd made from earlier in the day was
that I had gone into the gnome terminal preferences and
set my font to courier new 10 point (from whatever the
hideous looking 12 point default was).

I'll try to get more detail if it happens again.
