I saw the thread on this go by in source reviewers or something,
but I think we're gonna get a lot of negative feedback that people can't
any longer put two terminal windows next to each other without overlap.

The default font should indeed be fixed width, and readable, but it
should also let there be two terminal windows side by side without
overlap.  At least it should on my 1200x1024 Linux box!

(Insert generic diatribe on how every time I turn around I become more
strongly convinced that GNOME authors forget more about usability every
week.)
