I logged into cutter-john in SIPB running 9.2.3 Linux
A minor UI issue. It looks like the default Gnome2 panel color is
slightly lighter than the one in 9.1. This makes the text underneath the
"Mail" and "Prompt" and "Menu" icons appear on a gray background that is
slightly darker than the rest of the panel.
Looking at the images in Gimp, it looks like the text labels are on a
solid gray background of RGB (215,215,215). If I set my panel to be that
custom color, all the gray shades match up.
One solution would be to select and delete the gray rectangle background
behind the icon labels, and let gnome composite the transparent
background on top of the panel. The mozilla icon already uses an alpha
mask in this fashion.
