We made two changes to the packs yesterday, one of which being a kernel
change to fix a problem with the vs3100 floppies. Instead of bumping the
release number, we are sending the following instructions for those. We
are providing two alternatives as one method is a little more nasty than
the other.
Option 1:
---------
^P login as root, activate, shutdown now
reset
/srvd/update_inc
reboot
This will run track and copy in a new kernel as well.
Option 2:
---------
Become root while the packs are attached.
cp -p /srvd/etc/services /etc/services
If you are on a vs2000 or vs3100 only:
cd /
rm vmunix.old
mv vmunix vmunix.old
cp /srvd/vmunix /vmunix
reboot
If you are on a vs2, RT, or 750, you are done.
