It happens that users who see console output will get the notice, but
that doesn't make the behavior correct. Athena is committing to
provide dialup service; I want to know if my tokens have expired when
I'm not watching the console.
Whatever happened to the concept of machines talking to users through
the local zephyr hostmanager? I remember seeing something like this
over 2 years ago (athena version ~= 4), but not since.
