weird cluster error message

I, mistakenly, thought there was a normal release today, so on my
machine, che, tried an update. Silly me.
What bothers me, though, is the error message:
# /etc/athena/update_ws 9.1
Can't find system cluster information.
Please contact Athena Cluster Services at x3-1410. -Athena Operations
That telephone number is Hardware Services, IIRC. Do they have any
clue about cluster info?
For the record che *does* have cluster info, just not for this release:
