To answer a couple of different queries:
Redhat has removed xmixer as of 7.3; the recommended replacement is gmix.
The panel menus should be changed to reflect this. (Carter?)
Sound works OK on our 9.1 gx150's, so hopefully astrophel is
misconfigured in some unique way. (Or maybe the soft volume is all the
way down, since you didn't have an xmixer equivalent to check?) If it'
still a problem, I'll come over and have a look at it.
