I tried using the "traditional" mwm interface on an Athena 9.0 Sun for a
while. The feel of dragging and scrolling operations isn't right, and I
ran into a number of problems, some consistently reproducible:
1. when I try to drag an xterm downward from the bottom edge to
enlarge the window size, the window only drags a limited amount, after
which the mouse cursor "pulls loose" from the bottom window edge and I
get the Window ops popup menu (which I don't want).
2. Frequently (but not always) when I try to select a region of text
in a an xterm by dragging over the region I want, I "lose" the black,
selected region by having it suddenly disappear. This is not always
reproducible but happens often enough to be pretty annoying.
3. The mouse cursor "pulls loose" from pull-down menus in a way
similar to the problem in 1. I also sometimes get commands issued
through pull-down menus before releasing the mouse (that I didn't want
to issue).
