In the client message case, xscreensaver uses XForceScreenSaver() to
force activation of the screen saver; that apparently causes power saving
to be enabled, even though the saver interval value remains set to 0,
according to "xset q".  (On SGI, the saver interval is used as the time
between screen saver activation and power-saving).  So, there may not be
much we can do about this.
