With 9.0.7, ESD is much happier.
- It no longer spews on the console
- Users have to go out of their way (and become root) to mess up esd
for other users.
- RealPlayer now works at acceptable quality out of the box in
"native drivers" mode, and xmms and mpg123 all work fine.
Also, tasklist is no longer crashing with audiocontrol, though it
still pops up a "migrate to CDE" message.
I'll have to test ESD with ViaVoice at home, to see how it works with
more exotic or older apps or whatever it is.
