Ooops, you're right. My bad.

Well, actually, VC logins didn't work right for Athena users until I
added "LOGIN=/usr/athena/etc/login.krb5" to /etc/conf.getty. The
install (both layered and non-layered) leaves this file blank. On
non-layered linux, it looks like VC logins aren't supported...but you
would hope that the perfectly-working system we had on home machines
before wouldn't be broken by upgrading...
As it is, I'm having the previously reported problems with determining
terminal type, and in addition, zwgc isn't starting on VC or remote
logins because it's failing on source /usr/athena/lib/init/login with
the error:
zwgc: usage: zwgc [-f <filename>] [-subfile <filename>]
[-ttymode] [-nofork] [-reenter] [-loc text]
[-default <driver>] {-disable <driver>}*
[output driver options]
I haven't been able to test remote or VC logins on non-layered linux.
One other behavior that I know doesn't happen on non-layered linux: My
X logins don't appear in /var/log/wtmp. I'm probably going to
reinstall completely from scratch and see if that fixes any of the
weirdness I've been experiencing on this layered machine.
