I updated one of my Suns to 8.4 today. When I tried to send
mail from it, I got:
[zacheiss@shock-treatment] ~> echo foo | mhmail zacheiss
/etc/sendmail.cf: line 55: invalid V line vendor code: "Sun"
/etc/sendmail.cf: line 383: readcf: unknown option name RemoteMode
/usr/athena/libexec/spost: exit 70
Letter saved in dead.letter
Looking at /etc/mail/sendmail.cf, it appears to be a copy of the
sendmail.cf shipped with Solaris, not the Athena workstation
sendmail.cf. Moving /etc/mail/sendmail.cf.old to sendmail.cf allows me
to send mail without problems.
/srvd/etc/mail/sendmail.cf is the Athena workstation sendmail.cf, so it
appears to not be getting tracked onto disk.
