Kerberos tickets lost on login

Hi.
I appear to lose my kerberos tickets shortly after login. Thinking
that my dotfiles might just be broken under the new release, I logged
in on opus (SGI running 8.3.13) and tried the following:
printenv KRBTKFILE
printenv KRB5CCNAME
ls -l /tmp/
mv /tmp/tkt_ttyq0 /tmp/tkt_foo
setenv KRBTKFILE /tmp/tkt_foo
mv /tmp/krb5cc_ttyq0 /tmp/krb5cc_foo
setenv KRB5CCNAME /tmp/krb5cc_foo
ls -l /tmp
printenv KRBTKFILE
printenv KRB5CCNAME
These commands simply move the ticket files and check that they were
moved correctly. They appear to have the desired effect. (The output
is below.)
About 3-4 minutes later, however, a DASH message box appears with the
following:
DASH
No such file or directory: `/tmp/tkt_ttyq0'
Type `renew' to re-authenticate.
OK
Doing the following after this message appears shows everything to be
the same as before:
ls -l /tmp
printenv KRBTKFILE
printenv KRB5CCNAME
Also, klist lists the tickets.
When I do this automatically with my customizations, the tickets
disappear and I have to 'renew' to continue my session. (I suspect
something is still wrong with my dotfiles, but that more is going on.)
This does not happen with version 8.2.19.
