We can apply Sun patches at almost any time, as long as we take into
account any disruption caused to machines which haven't updated yet.
Which is probably none in the case of the X server patch (all of the
important files are local).

On the other hand, trying to keep up with Sun patches in general is a
losing game.  So we don't just do it on a whim; we do it when we think
it will fix a specific problem.  If you could test this patch and see
if it fixes the bug in question, that would give us a lot more
motivation for going to 105633-21.
