8.3 beta appears to be trying to run some part of IRIX's OutBox package when a
user logs in. (belmonte.outbox was automatically created in my home directory.)
This seems poor, as OutBox is geared to an environment rather different from
Athena - it's built to set up personal Web pages and such.
I assume that this is an overlooked vestige of OutBox and that the bulk of the
OutBox software is not in fact running -- unless IRIX 6.5 is very different
from IRIX 6.2, OutBox is a security problem.
