In athena 8.3, by default, the tcsh build does not have autolist set
(my dotfiles do not change it). In 8.2, it is set by default.
I like the old behavior, but it has been compensated for in
/usr/athena/lib/init/cshrc, so only people with their own .cshrc will
notice. Anyway, I do not know if the change was intentional, but if
it wasn't, the old behavior (IMHO) was preferable.
