Jonathon,
Thanks for calling. I thought I would speak to you as the answer may be more
complicated than is easily put in email. Basically I was trying to find out
about the power saving feature. The release notes say:
Under some circumstances, the monitor will enter a power saving mode and the
screen will power down.
That is sufficiently vague that it perked my interest. Also, prior to the
last update, my monitor would power off after 5 or 10 minutes of inactivity (I
did not actually time it). Now, it does not pwoer off at all. I was
wondering if there is a variable I should know about.
Also, after the last release, I am frequently getting "Unable to start X.
Entering console mode." when I logout. I have to do a ^D to start X again.
Was this a change in the last update.
Finally, the OLC stock answers point to the 8.1 release notes, not 8.2.
Just curious.
