log in
What's wrong:
More often than not, logging in hangs for somewhere around one
minute on "Waiting for workstation to finish activating". When it
does unwedge later, I see the following messages in the console:
11:29 Waiting for workstation to finish activating...Workstation activation failed to finish normally.
11:30 done.
11:30 XLogin: child 18733 exited
As far as I can tell (though I haven't done any rigorous testing),
this happens every time the workstation has been idle long enough to
have run reactivate before I log in.
What should have happened:
The workstation should have reactivated normally.
