I did the upgrade on pusey to 8.2 last night and it blew up with
little pieces of sticky goo everywhere.

I started the upgrade and then left it to do its thing; when I
returned it was able to boot, but that's it; most user programs in the
rc scripts were hopeless; /proc was gone, etc. Totally unusable...

The machine had been mkserv remote, had a krb4 servtab and a krb5
keytab and had NQS (Network Queueing Systed) installed.

I then tried to do a direct install of the new release, but that
didn't work.

I'm doing an install of 8.1 now, and I'll try an upgrade to 8.2 on the
newly-vanilla as soon as it's done.

Thomas
