Play with the new toy
What went wrong?
I found a bunch of processes running that I didn't expect:
UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD
root 544 1 0 05:40:31 ? 0:00 /usr/etc/lpd
lp 350 1 0 05:40:26 ? 0:00 /usr/lib/lpsched
root 740 1 0 05:40:51 ? 0:06 /usr/etc/appletalk/nbpd -N
root 742 1 0 05:40:53 ? 0:00 /usr/etc/appletalk/epd
root 744 1 0 05:40:54 ? 0:02 /usr/etc/appletalk/timeserver
root 747 1 0 05:40:56 ? 0:02 /usr/etc/appletalk/ksd -f -i mad-scientist
root 756 747 0 05:40:57 ? 0:02 /usr/etc/appletalk/ksd -f -i mad-scientist
root 757 747 0 05:40:57 ? 0:01 /usr/etc/appletalk/ksd -f -i mad-scientist
root 828 1 0 05:41:05 ? 0:00 /usr/etc/rpc.pcnfsd
What should have happened?
I'm not sure, I suspect the lp and appletalk stuff shouldn't
have been running, I'm not sure about rpc.pcnfsd, but I suspect it's
bogus too.
Yo, got any documentation, or other info?
Nope, just causing trouble.
